It has been four months and your child seems to be waking up a few times through-out the night to feed. You’re wondering if you should begin to sleep train your child, you wonder if your child is ready to be sleep trained, and you also wonder what sleep training technique would be best for your child. You know that if you are going to sleep train your child you will want to use the most-gentle approach out there as you do not want to give your child any added stress so you begin to do your research on sleep training.
As you continue on with your research you find out that your child should be fourteen pounds and four months old to begin to sleep train. Since your child fits both of the requirements you begin to prepare your child for sleep training. You get a white noise machine, a sleep sac, and understand that sleep training takes consistency and commitment from both parents and the nanny if you have one. Since naps are already established sleep training should not take very long to establish as well, as long as the two major ingredients are used which is consistency and commitment.
Sleep training by no means is easy but it can be rewarding when it’s done correctly and can allow for restful nights for both parents and baby. There are many books out there and professional help if you find that you may need some extra help with sleep training. Knowing that you are not alone when it comes to peaceful and restful nights will make you want to continue on with sleep training until your goal is reached. Good luck Mamas, you got this!
